Everything you need for a video

Familiar from the first minute if you have edited video on your phone

Cut and arrange by dragging

Split, trim and reorder clips. Select several at once, then copy, paste or delete them the way you would work with text.

Titles and subtitles

Pick a ready-made text style, edit it directly on the frame and give it motion as it appears or leaves. Need subtitles as their own file? Export an .srt alongside.

Effects and colour filters

Drag a preset onto a clip and set its strength with one slider. The result shows up in the preview right away.

Transitions between two clips

Drag a transition onto the join between two clips and adjust its length. The preview shows the two scenes blending as you go.

Record your screen and your voice in the app

Capture the whole screen or just a region, and record from your microphone. Listen back first, then add it to the timeline.

Clean up speech with AI

Reduce fan noise, air conditioning and room noise so the voice comes through clearly. It runs on your machine — your audio is not sent anywhere.

Smooth preview even with heavy footage

When you import a video, LazyVid builds a lighter draft copy so scrubbing and previewing stay smooth. At export it goes back to the original file, so quality is unchanged.

It takes the slowest parts off your hands

Previewing, exporting, subtitling and reclaiming disk space are where editing time usually goes.

Trim one clip and the export is done

When the video is a single clip with no effects added, LazyVid exports it straight through instead of rebuilding every frame.

Already have a subtitle file? Bring it in

Pick an .srt file and each line becomes a text clip at its own timestamp, editable like any other text clip.

See exactly how much space the app is using

The Assets page in Settings lists everything LazyVid has downloaded and how big it is, so you can delete what you no longer need or move it to another drive.

From raw footage to a finished video

Four steps from opening the app to having an MP4

1

Start a project

Open LazyVid, create a new project and drag your video, images and music into the library.

2

Cut and arrange

Drag clips onto the timeline, trim what you do not need and order them the way you want to tell it.

3

Add text and effects

Drop in titles, colour filters and transitions, and clean up the speech so it is easy to follow.

4

Export an MP4

Pick a resolution and export. Tick the .srt box if you also want the subtitles as a separate file.
